2009 Field Hockey Awards
The 2009 Liberty League End-of-Season Awards, announced November 5.

2009 Liberty League Player of the Year
Christine Kemp   Skidmore
Junior Forward (Putnam Valley, New York)
Kemp repeats as Liberty League Player of the Year having also captured the award in 2008, and is a unanimous selection to the Liberty League First Team. She leads the league in scoring with 2.76 points per game and ranks first nationally in assists per game and ninth in points per game. She has a point in 15 of 17 games and a goal in 12 of 17 games.

2009 Liberty League Rookie of the Year
Annie Kietzman   William Smith
Forward (Longmeadow, Massachusetts)
A five-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week, Kietzman led the Herons in goals and tied for the team lead in points. She led all Liberty League rookies in goals and was 7th among all conference players in points and 8th in assists.

2009 Liberty League Co-Coaching Staff of the Year
Gillian McDonald   Hamilton
McDonald led Hamilton to a program record for regular season wins (11) and a share of the team's first-ever regular season title. The Continentals scored at least one goal in every game this year. Hamilton players received five league performer of the week honors this season. McDonald is assisted by Cheryl Casey.

2009 Liberty League Co-Coaching Staff of the Year
Beth Hallenbeck   Skidmore
Hallenbeck led the Thoroughbreds to the Liberty League top-seed with a 14-3 overall and 6-1 league record. Two of team's three losses were in overtime, including a penalty stroke loss to unbeaten Cortland. Skidmore led the league in both offense and defense and brings a seven-game win streak into Liberty League Tournament. Hallenbeck is assisted by Lindsey Hendricks and Darryl Michael.
